You may find out that sometimes you can get it, but sometimes you can not . Why this happens?
Because if the number belongs to a home phone , you can find out the information right away. But if the number belongs to a cell phone , probably you can’t find it for free. Why?

When you register for a cell phone service, your information is not public information and the cell phone carrier will not release it to the public directory . This doesn’t mean others can’t find it. They still can, if they want to pay. The cell phone company may release your information to its partners, such as a phone number search company, which provide reverse phone number lookup service to the public, of cause not for free, or not totally free. If someone get your phone number and want to find out your information , he goes to the phone number search company’s website, pay a certain fee, and then enter your phone number and get your information. But they may still get some information for free, such as the city a cell phone is registered in .
